Ford recently launched the all-new Focus hatch to some international media. Like a number of other motor manufacturers lately, the Blue Oval will release a performance version of the Focus not long after the regular ones. Of course we know this car as the Focus ST and these are the new spy pictures of it as it goes fast around a famous racing track in Germany.

Mainly the ST looks to be visually different in the exterior in two areas; front and rear. The front grille is the obvious one. Also the lower front bumper will be different, as these pics demonstrate. The back end also features some differences in the bumper, as well as introducing two separate exhaust tailpipes instead of the centrally-located ones in the current model.

We believe the Focus ST will keep its front-wheel-drive layout, as well as the 2.0-litre turbo engine. However, this time power will be increased to tip over the 200kW mark for the first time. Standard with this engine will be a 6-speed manual gearbox, but we have heard about an automatic as well, another first for the ST. The car should land in Mzansi sometime during mid-2019.
