JEEP WRANGLER HYBRID COMING IN 2020

A most interesting development touching one of the most iconic brands on Earth, has been announced. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, owners of the Jeep brand, have announced that the new Jeep Wrangler will be offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain from 2020. That is massive news for a vehicle that has spent most of its lifetime pushing against the latest “fashions”.

No major details have been forthcoming on the Wrangler PHEV yet but we know its Power Electronics module will be built at the company’s Toledo Machining plant in the Ohio, USA. We don’t know which petrol engine it will be mated with yet, and we also don’t know if it will be sold in Mzansi. The country is awash with Jeep Wrangler lovers and we are sure many of them are keen on getting on the right side of the planet as soon as possible.
