JAGUAR LAND ROVER TO DITCH PETROL AND DIESEL
Brace yourself. Jaguar Land Rover is going full-electric by 2030. Jaguar will go first, by stopping all petrol and diesel car production in 2025. We don’t know if there are no exceptions to this, but if there are none, it means all Jaguars we buy in Mzansi from 2025 will be EVs (electric vehicles). Land Rover will then get its first EV in 2024.
All in all from the next decade we will not be able to buy any JLR product that runs on petrol or diesel brand new. In addition, the flagship XJ model will be cut out completely, possibly replaced by a J-PACE SUV.
