BMW will soon present to the world the first-ever M5 CS. And you thought the M5 Competition was the peak of BMW thought on these matters. These new spy pics taken at the Nurburgring’s Nordschleife show a car that is very purposeful and determined. Pretty much what CS stands for. The M5 CS will arrive in Mzansi in early 2021 as part of the facelift package for the 5 Series.

The front end, disguised for these purposes, will undoubtedly look different from the normal M5 and M5 Competition. Hence the camouflage. So will the rear end actually. The M5 CS is also expected to get a set of its own special wheels. There should be other visual differences, especially made from carbon fibre, including a rear boot spoiler.

As a CS model the new M5 CS will have to tighten up in certain places, such as the shock absorbers, brakes and steering wheel. One could say it will be more track-focused than the other versions. Additionally the 4.4-litre twin turbo V8 will have to generate even more excitement than it currently does, possibly to the tune of around 475kW.
