Opel appears to be benefiting quite nicely from the brand’s new parent PSA Groupe. PSA Groupe is of course owner of the other brands, Peugeot, Citroen and DS. And last year they announced a merger with the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group. Good news for Opel all round then, being part of such a large family. Good news for the Opel Mokka too, which is scheduled to get an all-new version in 2021.

Seen here are spy pictures of the car, which is taking the crisp new Opel design language. We like how the new Corsa looks and hope the Mokka took some notes. According to sources in Europe the Mokka will be offered primarily with two powertrains, consisting of petrol/ diesel and electrification. Normal petrol Mokka will be the most popular, followed by the diesel, then plug-in hybrid versions, and then of course a full-electric model. Yes, Opel will sell an electric Mokka. Probably not in Mzansi as yet, but we do hope to at least see the plug-in hybrid here.
