Jaguar Land Rover is not new to the electrification game. The company already builds plug-in hybrids for different models. In fact, Jaguar has recently produced one of the most advanced electric vehicles (EVs) that are currently in the market, the I-PACE. Therefore that Land Rover is also getting into the EV game is news yes, but not surprising news. According to reports emanating from Europe, a Range Rover EV is set to debut in 2021.

Not much detail is available at the moment, but word is the car will be an SUV, which is of course in line with the Land Rover brand. Some speculation suggests a Range Rover Velar-sized SUV, which would then go toe to toe with the likes of Audi e-tron Sportback. The aforementioned I-PACE will form the basis for the new car, resulting in a good power output figure (294kW, 696Nm) and range (about 360km in real life).
