Mercedes-AMG is testing the new AMG GT R Black Series, something that will likely scare even the most experienced of drivers. Continuing the recent tradition of Black Series models, the new car has been doing serious work at the Nurburging where most serious sports cars are honed.

The lime green car has been disguised in black and white camouflage for the most part, but you can see several changes through the secret material. For example, the front bumper is completely different from the GT R, the LED headlights are new, and so is the bonnet, which is now quite aggressive. The other big drama happened at the rear where there is now a much bigger downforce spoiler, as well as four exhaust tailpipes.

It is expected that the AMG GT R Black Series will keep its going 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine, but bump power to around the 450kW mark. Because it remains rear-wheel-driven, the car will be quite a handful to handle and should probably not be driven by people with neither the sill nor experience to tame it. Mercedes-AMG says the normal AMG GT R can do 0 – 100km/h in just 3.6 seconds, which means the Black Series will drop that figure.
