Porsche South Africa is launching the all-new Taycan in Mzansi in 2020. As you might know, Taycan is the brand’s electric car or EV (electric vehicle) and it is claimed to set some new boundaries in several terms. These latest spy pictures serve to confirm that Porsche will unveil it at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

In a nutshell, Taycan is a 4-door full-electric sports car from the house of Porsche. Its job is to transport four or five occupants in comfort and speed, with their luggage, while using no petrol or diesel whatsoever. To achieve all this, Porsche has gifted it a 48 kWh battery with at least 330km range for the base model. Higher-equipped models will be able to do 450km and over 500km respectively.

Performance is expected to be typical of this German brand, meaning the 0 – 100km/h time should be around 3.5 seconds, which is quite stunning for this type and size of vehicle.
