Another busy 12 months coming up for the BMW brand. Several new models and model ranges have been confirmed by the company’s CEO Mr Harald Krüger. We know of all of them of course, but we thought we would take this opportunity to remind you, our readers, of these, just in case you are in the market in those segments.

Earlier this year the company launched its all-new X2 on Mzansi soil. Soon the brand new X4 will also hit local dealerships. It will be followed by the new X5 and X7, making 2018 truly the year of X. We are not sure if there will be an X7 M yet, but an X5 M is definitely under development, and should appear before the end of 2019.

At the same time, the higher-end segment at BMW is now getting full attention. We drove the new i8 Roadster and updated Coupe in Gauteng a few weeks ago. Now we wait for the arrival of the all-new generation 8 Series Coupe. Thereafter the 4-door 8 Series Gran Coupe and Convertible (slahla) will be launched, which will be sometime in 2019. During the same year the M versions of all three body styles will appear, carrying the company’s trusted 4.4-litre twin turbo V8 with over 450kW each. Last but not least, BMW will unveil the much-awaited Z4 2-seater roadster this year, with global sales kicking off next year.
