The PSA Groupe has become the latest motor manufacturer to go full frontal with plans of an electric future. At the start of the year the company, which owns Peugeot, Citroen, Opel, Vauxhaull and DS – said it would offer 40 electrified models by 2025. These would be available globally across all the brands. Now it says it will be creating a new electric vehicle sub-business to be headed by someone called Alexandre Guignard.

The new unit is called Low Emission Vehicles business unit and will oversee everything to do with electrification at PSA. One of its projects will be the new full-electric 208 that’s scheduled to go on sale in 2019. In 2020 an electric 2008 will start selling. Keep in mind that electrified includes hybrids and full-electric cars.
