BMW’s electrified range continues to find favour among the brand’s global fans. Over the month of July the BMW Group (BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce) sold 180 726 vehicles, adding to the 1.4 million sold so far in the year. The July figure is 0.4% increase year-on-year. On the side of electrification, 50 711 BMW i, BMW iPerformance and electrified MINIs have been sold since the start of January 2017.

At the moment there are 9 electrified cars within the BMW Group, including the i3, i8, 740e iPerformance and others. According to figures released by the company, these numbers rank it as the world’s third-biggest battery electric / plug-in hybrid electric vehicle manufacturer on the planet, something that is quite astounding considering that BMW is not a mass car producer. We know there are still more to come in the next two years, including the all-new electric X3 and MINI e. There’s also been rumours of a hybrid Rolls-Royce
