7 NEW ASTON MARTINS IN THE NEXT 7 YEARS

Aston Martin is set to expand its portfolio of sports cars quite rapidly (see what I did there?) over the next few years. According to a report from Auto Express in the UK, the British brand is keen on getting into the mid-engined market, even though it might not actually produce a mid-engined car. Let me explain.

Mainly the mid-engined market is occupied by the Ferrari 488 and the Lamborghini Huracan. So Aston wants to get into that fast game with its own compact supercar to rival these two chaps at their own game. In fact, the car will be one of seven new cars over the next seven years. These will include the DBX, Vantage, Lagonda and others. The Valkyrie (previously known as the AM-RB 001) hypercar – built in conjunction with Red Bull – is not among these as only 150 units are planned and pre-sold already.
