Lexus seems to be quite serious about the LC coupe, judging from what has reportedly happened. Word is, the Japanese brand of Toyota has trademarked the word “LC F” at the Europe office of trademarks. Anyone who knows Lexus will recognise the F at the end, because that is the company’s performance moniker.

So what this means is that the LC F will sit atop the LC 500 and LC 500h, both of which are naturally aspirated, with the LC 500 making 351kW and 530Nm from its 5.0-litre V8. The hybrid 500h manages to produce 264kW from a combination of a 3.5-litre V6, electric motor and lithium-ion batteries. With all this in mind, it would probably be safe to assume that an LC F would make at least 380kW from the new 3.5-litre biturbo V6.
