BMW will be launching the new-generation X6 in 2019. These are the first spy pics we’ve managed to grab. The X6 really is a pioneer in the industry, as it launched the coupe SUV phenomenon back in 2008 (2009 in Mzansi). Since then it has spawned smaller versions like the X4 and X2, simultaneously inspiring competitors and others to move into that space as well. These spy pics show that the formula has not changed.

Four doors, a hatch boot lid, raised sitting position, good interior space, and technology. These are just some of the features the X6 is known for and looks to have kept. Obviously a bit of soft-roading will be called upon, although BMW will probably sell an off-road package too as an option too. The car’s interior, although not shown here, is expected to mimic that of the new X5. So will engines too, including the 3.0-litre turbo diesel, 3.0-litre turbo petrol, 3.0-litre twin turbo diesel (M50d) and the 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 for the X6 M.
